There are currently more than 3.2 million Vietnamese people are living and doing business in over 100 countries and territories worldwide. At anywhere, regardless of young and old generations, gender, regardless of religion, ethnicity, and prior history, the vast majority of these people are towards their native country, their roots, and have emotional attachment to their family, their home, and their country.
No matter where they live, these Vietnamese citizens are all looking forward to visiting their country, relive their unforgettable old memories, and reunite with family, friends, and share the country’s innovation with the people in their country.
In the spirit of considering Vietnamese community in foreign countries is an inseparable part of the people of Vietnam, 36-NQ/TW Resolution of the Politburo, the Communist Party of Vietnam to the Vietnamese work in foreign countries have made it clear “to create favorable conditions for Vietnam in foreigners who visit their homeland, relatives, ancestor worship.” Implementing the policy and notified by the State President Nguyen Minh Triet at a meeting with overseas Vietnamese Grandma’s official visit to the United States, on 17/08/2007 Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed Decision No. 135 / 2007/QD-TTg promulgated the Regulation on Vietnam visa exemption for Vietnam residing abroad.

To create conditions for people residing in Vietnam to better understand foreign policy and decision as well as creating favorable conditions for our fellow citizens are granted visa exemption, the State Department is building site Web address: http://mienthithucvk.mofa.gov.vn to guide the regulations on procedures and dossiers for granting visa exemption.
