Vietnam embassy visa is the visa which you can get at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate. No matter where you are or which passport you hold, you can reach for the nearest Vietnam Embassy/Consulate to apply for a visa. The time and the price of processing a visa vary from the Embassy/Eonsulate. Normally, it will take you 3-7 working days. Vietnam Embassy visa is applied for those who travel by land, by air, by train and by sea.

Vietnam visa on arrival

Vietnam visa on arrival is the visa applied for those who travel by air to Vietnam only, and will get their visa stamped onto their passport at the immigration check-in when arriving at the Vietnam International Airport. By submitting the approval letter together with your passport (6 months validity), two 6-month valid photos, and stamping fee, the visa will be stamped onto your passport.

You are advised to use this kind of Vietnam visa when:

-          You travel to Vietnam by air

-          There’s no Vietnam Embassy/Consulate in your country or near you

-          You would like to avoid all the Embassy/Consulate chasing-down, hassle, and to save your time.

To get visa on arrival all you need to do is as follows:

- Getting visa approval letters by visiting the website http://www.vietnam-visa.com, filling in the form and sending to us. After 1 working day (normal service) or 2- 3 working days (normal service) of receiving your final confirmation on payment for service fee, we will send you a copy of the pre-approved letter by Vietnam Immigration Department for picking up Vietnam visa at Vietnam’s international airports.
- Print the approved letter and bring 2 photos sized 4×6cm with you for picking up visa at the Vietnam international airports.
- Stamp your Vietnam visa and pay the stamping fee directly at the airports.

A visa to Vietnam can be applied for by mail or in person at the Embassy of Vietnam in Bangkok (Thailand) as early as six months prior to the date of travel. Some important notes should be kept in mind when you get visa at Vietnam Embassy in Bangkok as follow:

Do

- Contact Vietnam Embassy to know the working time, holiday… before coming.

- Check your passport again to make sure that it is still valid at least six months before getting Vietnam visa in Bangkok.

- Show your visa application form + your original passport + 2 passport-sized pictures (4*6cm) + pay some US dollars by cash (from US$50 upward) for visa stamping fee (paid by yourself at the Vietnam Embassy in Thailand (Bangkok) to get your visa code. Up to now, the credit card is not accepted.

- Need to have a blank page on your passport because the visa will be glued on it. If your passport now has no space (full) for the new stamp, you should contact/come to your Embassy in Bangkok for asking to renew your passport. Normally, it will take 5- 7 working days.

Don’t

- Forget to find and note Vietnam Embassy’s address before going.
- Lose your temper if you have to wait in a long queue as the Vietnam Embassy do receive a lot of Vietnam visa requests of tourists a day.
- Need to show the financial evidences in applying for a Vietnam visa from Bangkok.

Sri Lanka welcomes VN’s reopening embassy

The re-opening of Vietnamese Embassy in Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, marked a new milestone in the long-lasting relationship between the two countries, stressed Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The President spoke this while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Tôn Sinh Thành on Tuesday when the Ambassador presented his credentials to him, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The host leader affirmed that Sri Lankan Government and people would create favorable conditions for the Embassy’s operations to soon increase the bilateral ties to comprehensive partnership.

For his part, Ambassador Tôn Sinh Thành said that he is impressed with Sri Lanka’s great victory over the anti-terrorism fight in the past and socio-economic achievements in its current reconstruction course.

He pledged to spare no effort to consolidate and enhance the traditional friendship and cooperation between to two nations.

Instruction for getting Vietnam visa in Thailand

Visa to Viet nam is required for all visitors, except citizens of some countries for short stay. Thai are exempted for up to 30 days. If you want to stay longer, you should apply for a visa for Viet nam at Vietnam Embassy Bangkok.

Visitors can apply for single or multiple-entry, from1 month to 3 months.
Applicant can personally or delegate to the third person/ agency to carry out the  procedures of Vietnam visa application.

Following documents are requested to submit to the Embassy for all kinds of Viet nam visa:
- The original PASSPORT with blank pages for visa stamp. The expiry date of the passport should not be earlier than 3 months since the date of departure from Vietnam.
- One completed application form.
- Two passport-size photographs: one is stapled or glued firmly to the application form.
- Approval from Immigration Authority or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
- Visa fee (Vietnam visa fee should be paid in Thai Baht by cash; Holders of Diplomatic Passports and members of Diplomatic or Consular Missions who are going on their official missions are exempted from visa fees – this practice is subject to reciprocal treatments between Vietnam and concerned Countries).

The application form is available at the Embassy or can be printed out in the forms folder. It takes from 1 to 4 days to process a visa.

For those who would like to avoid the perhaps lengthening visa procedures with their local Vietnam Embassy, the service of Vietnam Visa On Arrival is available for help. It is legitimated and supported by the Vietnamese Immigration Department. We recommend that you choose visa upon arrival, as picking up visa at the Vietnam int’l airport is quite simple, easy, no additional charges and no fail.

Vietnam Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand

Under the resolution, Vietnam will open embassy in Colombo, capital of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and two Consulates General in Perth of Australia and Vancouver, Canada.

Vietnam and Australia established the diplomatic ties on February 26, 1973 and set up their own embassies in each other. After opening consulate general in Perth, Vietnam then has two consulate generals in Australia, with the other in Sydney.

Vietnam and Canada started their diplomatic relations on August 21, 1973 and already exchanged embassies with each other. Currently, Canada ranked 13th among the biggest investors in Vietnam.

If you depart from airports in China, they will not accept Vietnam visa on arrival. So, you must take Viet nam visa code. What should you do as follows:

It takes only 1 working day (urgent service) 2 working days (normal service) after your final confirmation and payment and provision of adequate information for processing Vietnam Visa to receive your visa approval code, please bring it with your necessary identity documents, original passport valid at least 6 months; 02 regulated sized-photos (2*2 inch) to Vietnam Embassy in China to get your visa to Vietnam. You only need to pay a fee to get stamped on your passport like visa on arrival.
